Geniusity lies in simplicity, making one think: ‘Oh, I could have done that!’ but then, someone actually did it, much before anyone thought of it, especially if the ideas have been there..for a long time, that is the ARMANI magic!
Set against a huge screen showing desert vastness of mystical arabian's empty quarters, audience was treated by Armani's exotic journey entitled " La Femme Bleaue"...literally!
Giorgio Armani presented black and dark navy blue collection in Milan Fashion Week's show- ender. Known for his minimalist silhouette, Armani played supremacy in Milan's pret-a- porter business .
Organza frills and crystalized brooches and clutch bags with beadworks fused the sartorial images of an Armani women. The turbans with cropped jackets in slim engineered trousers, those dresses in asymmetrical cuts belong to ladies who love glamour and elegant soirees.
Armani's signature pieces: tunic tops with leather blazers, bows, layering chiffons in high quality finish.
Forget the fashion mayhem surrounding Milan Fashion Week this season. It's still the intricacy of an exquisitely made simple pieces by seasoned maestros, who superbly cut above the rest....and ARMANI is reining supreme.

ALBERTA FERRETTI: Milan Fashion Week 2011- "FLOWERFUL WOMEN"
In a picture perfect Hallmark greeting card...of blooming flowers, sprawling terrain, beautiful meadows, a hazy afternoon by the brook...wearing straw hats, the Alberta Feretti’s Spring 2011 took us to her world of feminine dresses, a retro-floral chic in the country side.
Think , ‘Little House of the Prairie’...soft breeze on the hill, blowing diaphanous chiffon in prints with flat gladiator shoes, summery pieces every women can wear on any hot day around the world. Flats are coming this season.
The collection was a mix of chiffon ruffled dresses, floral maxi dresses, shorts, blazers and blouses with large embroidered sleeves. There were many crochet pieces included bloomers, sweaters and bralets.
The neutral colour palette was warmed with some delicious caramel pieces, plus forest green and mustard yellow.
The cream chiffon dresses with lace embroidery, become the contrasting element on flowy -fairy ensemble. The colours are tea stained silks and earthy reds, an organic and natural move from Ferretti, usually expects lightly glittering evening dresses and modern femininity from her previous collection. Chiffon dresses featured dark foliage prints and fell to the floor in tiers or from drawstring peasant neckline.
A grey linen suit with long shorts, while a brighter coral dress in ruffles, chiffon cut-outs with dainty piping became a rendezvous of daydream, a visual treat from a Ferretti woman.
Long dresses in lime, mustard and olive were pleated and twisted like draped around the body, clinging bias and full sleeves that were gathered down in the wrist.
Models looked sweet and romantic in luxe subtle gold make-up, expressing a glossy radiance...summer here they come!!!!

GUCCI: Milan Fashion Week 2011-D'OR AFRIQUE
Milan Fashion Week 2011 kicked off Wednesday, Sept. 22, with a Gucci show, taking inspirations from the 70's style chic Marrakech and Africa in Italian glamour.
Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini, used YSL's Moroccan colors - bright orange, deep turquoise, jade and magenta.
The opening numbers of finely cut chiffon pants, draped one-shoulder silk tops and knee length skirts, were splendidly fused for that great moment.
The burnt varnished cooper snakeskin bags and lovely fine belts with tassels added the equestrian look of a Gucci luxe tradition. Giannini's african travel went deep in northern Savannah with her fabulous series of leather jackets with fringes, strips pants with shade of nudes.
The third part, the finale, was a collection of ethnic inspired dresses. African accents like leathers in intricate gold embroideries, berber necklaces and bracelets added the contemporary ethnic appeal.
