MICHAEL CINCO'S PREVIEW: IMPALPABLE MYTHS OF GODS & GODDESSES / RED CROSS ANNUAL FASHION SHOW GALA 2011

Runway mannequins will be looking like ethereal Goddesses on Michael Cinco's tableaux show opener at his Gala Fashion Show at the Red Cross on Oct. 16, 2011 /Shangrila Makati. They'll be in white short dresses adorned with ceramic laser cuts and crystals, strutting heavenly on the ramp with their divaesque impressions of alluring sensuous chic. The nude look heightens the mercurial fantasy by being tease. See through fabric with membrane like qualities adds sensuality on embellished acrylic mosaic of Greek column patterns, that visually tantalized. She is the goddess with in, the whiteness of her wardrobe lends it pureness to mytholgical diva that bites the forbidden fruit of passion... the contemporary Aphrodite according to Michael Cinco, who inspires some of these iconic looks.

This project involves the conception and design patterns of columns by the famous pst modern architecture- Michael Hansmeyer whom utilizes algorithmic architectural techniques to make complex structures and patterns. Cinco applied those and defines this columns with elaborate embellishments and ornaments.

White laces formed intricate column patterns, traced by minute sequins, pearls and crystals played aesthetics on nymphets and vixens. Cinco's female figures exude unmistakable vitality and deliberate tension and may even puncture the myths of gods and goddesses. Palette of gray hues in slim serpentine skirts embroidered with sequins that gorgeously paired with armour sleeves in metal, crystals and ceramics. The bejeweled gods in drape shirt brought new meaning to men's couture. Sensuous and captivating, the mythological Mercury and Apollo in a body hugging lycra that hugs and swaths male models with silver ornaments and crystals.

The goddesses of Michael Cinco took a retreat to the magical Greek island of Santorini, famous for its lgendary sunset where Cinco took his next inspiration. The island's sunset colors played the archetypal elements. Asarte to the natives of Santorini and Aphrodite to us, is Cinco's goddess in this collection. The designer presents two gowns each sunset color: one with shimmers, the other without.
Then there was starlight. Swarovski Elements and crystals– the ‘rock’ of Michael Cinco fashion – provided the ‘icing’ on the couture cake. Diamants and crystals in ‘frozen’ corsets and ‘droplet’ edgings glinted ominously that splatters sparkled and winked. Bejewelled bustiers and crystallised Cinco gowns made strobe lights seem dull in comparison.

Light yellow in phoenix wings laser cut gorgeously ornamented the deep Vneckline, sleeveless tight fit hips and flowing skirt till the hemline, followed by a soft georgette chiffon with drapes on the bodice, so glamorous piece that fits for an Oscars' red carpet.

Close necked Swarovski encrusted in yellow degrade' stones with an extended sleeves, sculpted phoenix patterned gown in fishtail, competes with chiffon georgette in same color with criss-cross drapes and airy layered skirt.

 Orange dual silhouette follows in column like print minute sequins from the the bone-less bodice with Swarovski elements, the other orange gown without crystals has origami craft with perfect drape from the bust cascading down to the flowy chiffon skirt.


These were not the gossip babes, but celestial beings sashaying down the runways, adding luminosity of the gilded goddesses' divine halos that bathed in sunset and moon dust.

 Amidst the Grecian sky and magnificent sunset, Michael Cinco's brides say " I do" in front of the tangerine sunset staddling a dormant volcano on the ocean of Santorini. The bridal gown in tiered spacious long skirt is absolutely luxurious with grecian patterned laser-cut lace embellished on it.
