I did a shoot with photographer Kelly Jill and models Veronica & Stephan. We had a great time shooting on location in Gastown. The makeup was fun and a little over the top but Veronica totally pulled it off.

Illamasqua - Dark Angel

Illamasqua is a cosmetic brand which promotes experimentation as well as self expression through the way we look & is committed to changing attitudes towards subcultures. This month, in tribute to Sophie Lancaster, Illamasqua have commissioned a short film 'Dark Angel' directed by the award winning french director Fursey Teyssier. The film gives a haunting rendition of what happened to Sophie - on the 11th of August 20 year old Sophie & her boyfriend Robert Matby were kicked & stamped on & left unconscious, for nothing more than looking different, Sophie later died from her injuries.

The aim of the film is to raise awareness of The Sophie Lancaster Foundation and generate £500,000 to help educate young people about tolerance. Since Sophie’s death, the Foundation has been working with behavioural experts Huthwaite International, to put together an interactive youth workshop that does just that. But this essential education programme can only be delivered with your help. Please, please show your support and watch the film.
As well as being available to view online, the film will also be running on MTV from 26th November – Sophie’s birthday.
Stand up for Sophie - act now and buy an Illamasqua Sophie eye pencil, wristband or simply make a donation. £3 from the Sophie pencil purchased and all proceeds from the wristband sales go directly to the Foundation. See www.illamasqua.com for more info.

EZRA SANTOS' Style Arabia Show2010: GLAMOUR!!!

Luxury and stylish entertainment came together in an evening of sheer indulgence  Friday 26th, November 2010 at Westin Hotel /Dubai. Famous designer Ezra Santos participated the catwalk with his beautifully crafted pieces. Style Arabia sponsored the event with the participation of beauty products and fashion ateliers.

Held at the Westin Ballroom,  it was marked by a mood of soft relaxation. As sparkling wine did the rounds, guest mingled and lend glamour throughout the conversations while bubbly flowed freely, making the event intimately mellow soiree of Dubai's beau monde.

MICHAEL CINCO, attended the event after his successful America's Next Top Model in L.A. in sartorial black Marc Jacob suit with white Dolce&Gabbana inner shirt, limited edition Louis Vuitton Damier completed the look. La Cinco radiated a ravishing look, I swear, really to his Christian Louboutin shoes!

FURNE ONE glowed with his signature curly blonde hair, in black Zara lycra shirt and jeans, his Fitness First religiously-going-to-the-gym showed better results this time. One looks fresh and young and it's obvious....surely by the end of this year, a slim FURNE ONE will emerge.

BANDOIX FLORES was an image of intimidation, with his HERMES arm bling screaming attention! Wearing black to black, hauteness means  McQueen edgy pull over with a black turtle neck under shirt. Past pain, his 4 inches  Balenciaga boots denoted style sacrifice...as the saying goes, no pain...no gain!HERMES bracelet and HERMES belt..I pulled the botton of my style barometer.

FRANCIS ISHCK ZETA, undoubtedly was the most glamorous among the guests. With his leaner- than -thou ZERO size, he was very stunning in McQEEN jacket with black mirror lazer on the sleeves. FRANCIS ISHCK ZETA's new hair style by Dubai's top hairdresser- JOJO DANTES PADUA, looked so glam chic, fits  for red carpet events. His necktie monogram Louis Vuitton clutch made a spicy accessory to the ove all muster of an "ISHCK LOOK"

Simple,  RENE SANTOS  made some  fashion statement. From  just the right amount of flair to a silhouette, RENE was looking hot in Marc Jacobs white shoes with ARMANI  white shirt, paired with  ZARA black jacket and jeans, his boy-next-door-look recreated the relax elegance of what men should be.

KHALED AL KUNTAR, hot designer from ARUSHI showed minimal classic lines like his beige leather jacket paired with Diesel jeans and ZARA white shirt was just enough to sizzle the evening.

MO AL FALAZI(R)  took a break from Griffith University in Australia and attended the event in a smashing brown combo outfit with much sought Lanvin for H&M shoes.

CHARLOTTE VANDERHAER RICHARDSON- fashion designer and stylist, came in  black jersey draped blouse looking so chic....!

JOHN PAUL CANETE, Abu Dhabi fashion designer came in creative shirt designed and stitched by him...everybody was amazed...cute as a pea, Monsieur Canete will surely be on Emirates top list of designers.

EZRA SANTOS presented a fashionable and fabulous gowns, some were in short flirty frocks with elaborate bead works in shimmering Swarovski crystals and components and full swingy skirts cut a flattering silhouette in italian tulle. Beautifully cut, outfits were undeniably painted a pretty picture.

Fabulous Friday - Leighton Meester

Here is my fave Gossip Girl star channeling Jackie-O with her circular shades. Adding some edge to her look with grey minidress, grey booties and a hot leather jacket, she looks stunning as usual.

Happy Friday!!

Alexander Wang

Look familiar? It is the dress Kim Kardashian was wearing on this weeks Hot Mess Monday. It looks SO much better in all black, or does it look so much better because she is not wearing it?Tough one. Anyway, I love it in black and I thought I would share it. If you must have it in your life go to Net-A-Porter and order your very own. Make sure your breast doesn't try to make a break for it though.

American Music Awards Hits & Misses

A couple of falls, some boy on boy kissing and mediocre performances sums up this years American Music Awards. While there were a couple of people that impressed (Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys) the show was a little boring and so were the performances.
Janet Jackson opened the show with a mix of some of her hits. The performance was good but was typical Janet, nothing new. And I did not like what she was wearing or any of her styling.

Shakira performed and she looked great! But the song and the dance moves....well let's just say I'm not a fan.

Rihanna came out in a white bondage body suit which looked amazing on her. But again, not very impressed by her singing or overall performance. Her makeup did look fierce though!

Jennifer Lopez attempted her "comeback". Might have worked if she didn't fall on her butt right before her dance solo. The song "Louboutins" and the whole boxing theme just seemed like she was trying too hard to do something different but it just wasn't working. If she was dancing in her Louboutins that could at least excuse the fall but she was dancing in boots! I liked her makeup - she wore a classic strong smoky eye, pale lip combo. But I wasn't feelin the hair or the wardrobe. Sorry JLO.
Adam Lambert also had a slight slip at the begining of his performance but recovered smoothly then went into his sexually charged performance. There was grinding, faces in crotches, lots of making out. Yes we got it....he did it for shock value. Ok great...but did it work. It would have worked a lot better if he actually sang well. His voice did not sound that great and all that other stuff was just distracting. He did wear a great smoky eye though.
Taylor Swift won a bunch of awards but wasn't there to accept them.
Kate Hudson presented the Black Eyed Peas. She wore one of the most unflattering dresses I've ever seen. It's no secret that she has a small chest but this dress just did NOT look good.

So who actually impressed me? Lady Gaga....of course. She actually sang and sounded great live. Her outfit, styling, hair and makeup was weird and unique as always. And she did a mini performance of her song "Speechless" on a burning piano which I loved. Plus she danced around in 5inch heels and there's was no falling.

Alicia Keyes and Jay Z Empire State of Mind performance was also one of my favorites. They both looked super sleek and stylish in their tailored suits. Alicia's voice is amazing and I love the song.
What did you guys think of the awards? Any favorites?
